The Importance of Vaccinations

Your rabbits need protection in the form of vaccinations against Myxomatosis and VHD (Viral Haemorrhagic Disease). These vaccinations require annual boosters, and in some circumstances it may be necessary to have the Myxomatosis vaccine done on a six monthly basis - you should discuss this requirement with your vet who will be able to advise you if you need the myxomatosis vaccination done annually or every six months depending on the risk in your area.

In order for us to accommodate your rabbits they must be vaccinated against both Myxomatosis and VHD.

In our opinion vaccination is so vital that we are unable to accept rabbits into our care who are not fully vaccinated. This is for the safety of all the rabbits here - our own rabbits, foster rabbits (from Windwhistle Warren Rescue), your rabbits and the other rabbits who are here on their holidays.
